What is Tagmee?

In a nutshell, Tagmee is a photosharing application where users can upload, organize and share their photos.

Whats the pricing plan, and will there always be a free version?

Future plans include both paid and free versions. There will always be a free version. Currently we need to see how our members use Tagmee and some feedback before we come up with a pricing plan.

Which browsers are supported?

Modern versions of Firefox and Internet Explorer are supported.

Does Tagmee resize my photos?

Yes, photos are resized to the following sizes:
1) Square: 75px by 75px
2) Big square: 150px by 150px
3) Medium: 240px across the longest side
4) Large: 400px across the longest side
5) XL: 720px across the longest side
Currently Tagmee does not store originals.

How do I add someone to my friends list?

Go to the profile page of the person you want to add as a friend, then click the "add to friends list" button.

What type of photos can I upload?

You can upload any photo as long as it abides by the Terms Of Service. In short, you must be the owner and you may not upload any offensive photos. Public photos containing nudity are not allowed. If you are not sure if your photo may be offensive then please mark it as private.

What are the privacy options available for photos?

Photos may be either public or private. Public photos are available to everyone while private photos are only available to you.
Note: All photos (including private photos) sent in a whisper will be viewable to the person who recieves that whisper.
Also note: All photos (including private photos) in a public set can be viewable by everyone.

What is a Tag?

A tag is a keyword that is assigned to a photo. Tagging helps you and others search your photos. For example, if you search for the tag 'hockey', all of your photos that you tagged as 'hockey' would appear.

How do I tag a photo?

Click on any thumbnail of one of your photos. This will take you to a new page, where you can take "actions" on the photo that you just clicked. You can delete the photo, change the privacy level, enter a description, leave a comment, and tag that photo. To tag a photo enter a keyword and then click the "add tag" button. You can add as many tags as you want to your photo.

How do you star a photo?

Click the star icon in the 'viewphoto' page. You can get to the 'viewphoto' page by clicking on a thumbnail of one of your photos. Use this feature to show off your top photos.

How do I create a set?

Go to your gallery page and then select "create set", this will take you to the set builder. Your uploaded photos will be displayed on the left-hand side. Click the photos that you would like to add to your set and then click the "Create Set" button.

Can I password protect a set?

Yes, when creating a set select “password protect” and enter a password. If your set has already been created, navigate to your set and select “edit set”, then click “password protect” and enter your password.

What privacy options are available for sets?

Sets can either be public or password protected. All photos (including private photos) in a public set will be viewable by everyone. If you dont want to share all the photos in a set you can always password protect that set.

What is the difference between a set and an album?

A set is a group of photos and an album is a group of sets. For example, you might create a set for your "Disneyland photos" and another set for your "Alaskan Cruise photos". Now if you'd like, you could organize your sets by putting them in a "Vacation" Album.
So a Set helps organize your photos, and a Album helps organize your Sets.

How do I create a Album?

Go to your gallery page and then select "create album", this will take you to the album builder. Your Sets will be displayed on the left-hand side. Click the sets that you would like to add to your album and then click the "Create Album" button.
Remember an album helps organize your sets, so if you haven't created a set you can't create an album.

What is a whisper?

A whisper is just our friendly name for a 'private message'. We built a lightweight messaging system into Tagmee. You can add photos to a whisper, and you can also check to see if your whisper has been read by the reciever.

How do I add photos to a whisper?

The create whisper page will show you your uploaded photos on the right hand side. Click on a photo to add it to the whisper.

What is 'friend Surf'?

When you land on someone's 'intro' page, a 'Friend Surf' link will appear. This link points to a random friend of the owner of that intro page. Friend Surf is a good way of finding friends of a friend.

Are there any community guidelines?

Apart from the basics such as being respectful to others, it would be nice if the community was comment centric. If someone leaves a meaningful comment on one of your photos, try to return the favor.
If a member has a lot of nice photos but hasn't had any comments yet, see if you can make that person feel welcome by leaving the first comment.
